IAM: The guardian of your ecosystem
The HUB introduces a strict separation between who has access (Identity & Access Management) and what they are allowed to do (Scopes).
- Granular access (Scopes): You can define exactly what rights are per 'key' or user. A WMS partner only gets read access to inventory; a customer only gets read access to their own assortment. No order history, no purchase data, no unnecessary information.
- System vs. Human: The HUB manages two streams: API keys for system-to-system communication, and a federated identity layer for users. This way you don't have to maintain a separate user database in every app.
Privacy by design
Data sharing is no longer a risk, but a controllable process. By applying the principle of data minimization (only giving access to what is necessary) and a complete audit trail, you are always in control. You know exactly who requested what data and when.
