Standard GS1 partner

GS1 product data from one source.
Ready for every buyer who asks for it.

Purchasing organisations in trade, healthcare and government ask for product data that follows the GS1 standard. PLGGR is a GS1 partner: in PLGGR | PIM you manage GTINs, attributes and media in one place, set up to match the agreements your buyers use.

What is GS1?

The shared language of the supply chain

GS1 is the global organisation behind the standards for product identification, including the barcode and the GTIN.

A GTIN, Global Trade Item Number, gives every product a unique number that means the same across the whole chain. Around it, GS1 defines which attributes a product has and how to exchange them, so supplier and buyer read the same data in the same way.

What GS1 defines

  • GTIN
  • Product attributes
  • Classification
  • Images and media
The challenge

Without GS1, your range does not get in.

Purchasing organisations work with the GS1 standard. Product data that does not match it has to be corrected afterwards, or is not taken in.

Where it usually goes wrong

  • Missing GTINs
  • Attributes in a format of your own
  • Data spread across Excel and the ERP
  • Manual corrections for each buyer

Every correction afterwards costs time, on your side and on your buyer's.
