01 — Challenge
Growing pains in daily operations.
Rapid growth and a push to internationalise put the existing IT infrastructure under heavy pressure. Dentalair was not looking for a quick fix or a standalone improvement. They needed a scalable foundation to relieve the operational burden.
- ERP overload: web portals, WMS, CRM and custom components were all connected directly to the ERP, creating heavy load and risky dependencies.
- Slow scalability: the tangle of direct integrations made it very difficult to open new sales channels or adjust processes.
- Error-prone manual work: the back office spent significant time manually checking and retyping orders received via hand scanners, PDFs and barcode lists.
- Complex cluster customer structure: a standard ordering process was not sufficient for dental practice chains that each need their own inventory and ordering per location.
- Barriers to internationalisation: manually translating tens of thousands of products for new markets was too time-consuming and labour-intensive.
- Missing integration for enterprise purchasing: large customers with professional SAP procurement environments could not be connected directly to the Dentalair catalogue.
Where every system previously connected directly to the ERP, PLGGR | HUB now provides a single central layer. Data, processes and applications come together in one place, without unnecessary fragmentation.
Using AI capabilities in PLGGR | PIM, more than 50,000 products were translated and made ready to market. What would normally take weeks or months was available for a new international market within hours.

02 — Solution
One central ecosystem, calm on the work floor.
To restore calm on the work floor, PLGGR built an integrated digital ecosystem. At the heart of the solution is PLGGR | HUB. Instead of connecting all systems directly to each other, the HUB acts as the central connecting layer. Data, processes and applications converge without duplicate integrations.
The full backend has also been successfully migrated to the new ERP system SAP Business One, with the HUB once again ensuring a seamless connection to the CRM system and other tools.
